Terms of Service & Legal Disclaimer
Election Roadmap

Please read these Terms carefully before purchasing or using Election Roadmap ("the Service"). By purchasing, accessing, or using the Service, you ("Client," "you") agree to be bound by these Terms.
1. Description of Service
Election Roadmap is a task and project management tool designed to help political campaigns organize tasks, deadlines, and volunteer coordination. It is a productivity and organizational tool only.
2. No Guarantee of Election Outcomes
Election Roadmap is a task management tool. **We make no representation, warranty, guarantee, express or imply that use of the Service will affect, improve, or contribute to the outcome of any election, campaign, or fundraising goal.** Election results depend on countless factors outside our control, and any success or failure of your campaign is not attributable to the Service.
3. No Compliance Guarantee
Election Roadmap is **not** a legal, compliance, accounting, or campaign finance tool, and it is not designed or warranted to ensure compliance with any federal, state, or local election law, campaign finance regulation, FEC rule, or reporting requirement. **You are solely responsible** for ensuring your campaign's compliance with all applicable laws and regulations. We strongly recommend consulting a qualified attorney, treasurer, or compliance professional for guidance specific to your campaign and jurisdiction. Nothing in the Service constitutes legal or financial advice.
4. Service Provided "As Is"
The Service is provided on an **"as is" and "as available" basis**, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or completely secure.
5. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Election Roadmap and its owners, employees, and affiliates shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, revenue, donations, or election outcome, arising out of or related to your use of, or inability to use, the Service even if advised of the possibility of such damages. Our total liability for any claim arising from these Terms or the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim.
6. Billing & Payment
Election Roadmap is billed via a one-time setup fee plus a recurring annual subscription fee, processed through Stripe. Fees are non-refundable except as required by law or as otherwise stated at the time of purchase. Failure to pay a renewal fee may result in your board being archived per Section 7.
7. Data & Board Archiving
If your subscription lapses, your board and associated data will be archived for 3 months rather than deleted, so that it may be restored if you resume use in a future campaign cycle. We are not liable for any loss of access during a lapsed subscription period.
8. Board Link Sharing & Responsibility
Access to your campaign's board may be provided via a unique link. This link may allow anyone who has it to view or interact with board contents, which can include personal information about staff, volunteers, or donors. A password-protection option is available for your donations page. **You are solely responsible for controlling who you share this link with, for whether you enable password protection on your donations page, for keeping the link secure, and for what content and information you or your team upload to the board.** We are not responsible or liable for any unauthorized access, disclosure, misuse, or exposure of personal or campaign information that results from the link being shared, forwarded, leaked, or otherwise obtained by anyone other than the intended recipient, or from the content you choose to place on the board. If you believe your board link has been compromised, contact us so we can help issue a new one.
9. Acceptable Use
You agree not to use the Service for any unlawful purpose, to misrepresent your identity or campaign, or to upload content that is defamatory, fraudulent, or violates the rights of any third party.
10. Termination
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate access to the Service for any account that violates these Terms.
11. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Indiana, without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles.
12. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
