Election Roadmap ("we," "us," "our") provides campaign task management software to political campaigns and their staff and volunteers (collectively, "you," "clients," "users"). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.
1. Information We Collect
Account & Billing Information. When you purchase Election Roadmap, we collect your name, email address, campaign or organization name, and billing details. Payment card information is collected and processed directly by our payment processor, Stripe, and is never stored on our servers.
Board & Task Data. Your campaign's task boards may contain information you or your team enter, such as task descriptions, deadlines, notes, volunteer assignments, donor tracking information, and files uploaded through the board's Media Library. Your board may include a donations page, which can be password-protected at your discretion.
Team/Volunteer Information. If you invite volunteers or staff to your board, we collect the names and email addresses needed to grant them access.
Usage Data. We may collect basic technical data (such as browser type, device type, and general usage patterns) to help us maintain and improve the service.
2. How We Use Information
We use collected information to:
- Provide, operate, and maintain the Election Roadmap platform
- Process payments and manage your subscription/billing cycle
- Provide customer support
- Maintain archived boards for clients who are not currently active (see Section 4)
- Improve the product and troubleshoot issues
- Communicate with you about your account or service updates
We do not sell your data or your campaign's data to third parties.
3. Third-Party Services
We rely on the following third parties to operate Election Roadmap:
- **Stripe** — payment processing
- **Wix** — website hosting for our landing page
These providers have access only to the information necessary to perform their function and are bound by their own privacy and security obligations.
4. Board Link Access
Your campaign's board may be accessible via a unique link, which can allow anyone who has the link to view information on the board, including personal information about staff, volunteers, or donors. A password-protection option is available for your donations page. **You are responsible for who you share your board link with, for whether you password-protect your donations page, and for what information you or your team choose to put on the board.** We are not responsible or liable for information exposed as a result of the link being shared, forwarded, or otherwise obtained by unintended recipients, or as a result of the information you choose to include on your board.
5. Data Retention & Archiving
When a client's subscription lapses or a client stops actively using the service, their board is archived rather than deleted, so it can be restored if the client resumes use in a future campaign cycle. Archived data is retained in accordance with our standard retention practices and is not shared or used for any purpose other than restoring it for that client. Clients may request permanent deletion of their data by contacting us (see Section 8).
6. Data Security
We take reasonable technical and administrative measures to protect the information stored in Election Roadmap. However, no method of electronic storage or transmission is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
7. Children's Privacy
Election Roadmap is intended for use by campaign staff and volunteers who are adults. It is not directed to, and we do not knowingly collect information from, children under 17.
8. Your Rights & Choices
Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, or request deletion of your personal information. To make such a request, contact us using the information below.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by an updated "Effective Date" above.
